Change the Record is a Typeless Move.
Description
Forces the target to randomly switch to another of their tapes.
Additional Information
Change the Record will fail if the target has Tape Jam or is a wild monster or Archangel. Even when used in conjunction with a starter move such as Custom Starter and Machine Curse for self-targeting, Change the Record will fail if the opponents cannot be affected by it since the success check is done before it gets redirected by Machine Curse.
Even if Change the Record happens before the opponent attacks, such as through calling it via Custom Starter or Dual Wield, the opponent will still be able to use their chosen move even if they are forced to switch into a tape that does not have this move.
How to obtain
Change the Record may be obtained when a compatible tape levels up.
