Each monster and move has an elemental type that determines its strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. Monsters which differ from the usual type of their species are called bootlegs.
In addition, moves can be Typeless. A typeless attack takes on the type of the monster using it. In combat, untransformed humans are also typeless, and are unaffected by the type chart below.

In this table, the row is the attacking type, and the column is the defending type.
A green cell indicates the attack buffs the defender. A red cell indicates the attack debuffs the defender. Yellow indicates the attack changes the defender to a different type. Hover over a cell to view the details of that match-up.
An in-game type chart item can be obtained by opening your Ranger Handbook.
