Romance
- Viola: You have a curious look about you, <player>. Do you have something you wish to confess?
(Choice between "I want us to be together." and "Nothing in particular!")
- If chosen "I want us to be together.":
- Viola: I…
- Viola: Are you asking for my hand in marriage, <player>?
- Viola: ...
- Viola: I jest. We are time’s subjects, and one day time will bid us gone from each other’s company.
- Viola: It would be too much to bear to marry you, knowing that one day this waking dream will end and we shall return to our lives as they once were.
- Viola: Yet, there still remains many days and nights by each other’s side.
- Viola: I agree to your wish. Henceforth, we share a union of hearts.
- Viola: Perhaps, in another realm far beyond our imaginings, a humble playwright is telling our tale as we speak.
- Viola: “Viola & <player>: the comedy of two lovers stranded together.”
- Viola: I believe it would make for a wonderful story, don’t you think?
- If chosen "Nothing in particular!":
- Viola: My mistake, friend.
Campsite and Gramophone Café Conversations

Partner Interactions in Gramophone Café
Viola and Kayleigh
- Kayleigh: Viola, I gotta ask…
- Kayleigh: Where did you get that sleeveless jacket? I’ve never seen anything like it in New Wirral before!
- Viola: When I washed up on the sands of this lonely isle, I found an old soldier’s jacket cast aside on the beach.
- Viola: The sleeves were of an ill fit for me, so I simply removed them.
- Viola: It must be said that I have grown quite fond of it.
- Kayleigh: You’re so cool... I’m definitely crushing on you a little bit right now.
- Viola: Are you confessing your unending love for me, dear Kayleigh?
- Kayleigh: Hey, I’m not THAT easily won over!
Viola and Eugene
- Eugene: ...So you washed up on New Wirral after being shipwrecked in a storm, [pause]right?
- Viola: Yes, that is correct.
- Eugene: And you’re looking for your twin brother, Sebastian…
- Eugene: This just sounds really familiar and I don’t know why. Are you famous? Have we met before?
- Viola: I can assure you that I am no-one of notoriety or interest. As for whether we’ve met? I’m sure I would remember someone as spirited as thee, Eugene.
- Eugene: I guess so. Still, your story seems so familiar…
Viola and Meredith
- Viola: I must confess, dear Meredith, the way in which you fashion yourself is unlike any I have seen before – in my country, and in this one.
- Meredith: I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not.
- Viola: I mean no insult. You seem unconcerned with aligning yourself with the appearance of those around you. It implies a deeper confidence in oneself.
- Viola: I find you rather admirable in that regard, dear Meredith!
- Meredith: Uh, thanks mate.
Viola and Felix
- Viola: Surely, Felix, you have longed for freedom upon the seas? To sail to lands that are not yet even a splinter upon the horizon?
- Felix: Well, finding freedom in my life is important to me, but sailing the seven seas isn’t entirely what I have in mind.
- Felix: Working for myself and living on my own terms, though? That sounds pretty good to me.
- Viola: Perhaps you would also find fulfilment on the sea. You will never truly know for sure without setting sail!
- Felix: I suppose not!
Viola and Barkley
- Viola: What a brave new world, to have such animals such as you in it!
- Barkley: Arf!
Here Comes The Sun
(After meeting The Mer-Line)
- Viola: Perhaps this “Mer-Line” speaks the truth.
