Sunny is a former Landkeeper. Originally an NPC in the initial release of Cassette Beasts, starting from version 1.8, she becomes a Partner character.
Her signature monster tape is Pawper.[1]
Description
Like other Landkeepers, Sunny has black hair and pale skin, and in her initial appearance, wears a suit consists of black jacket and trousers as well as a grey shirt underneath her jacket with a tag pinned on her shirt. She later changes into an outfit that consists of a blue short tank top, with thin straps, yellow outlines and a heart shape pattern, on top of a pink see through T-shirt, a black belt with spikes, a yellow shorts and a pair of line green fingerless gloves.
Sunny has a shoulder-length hair that is tied into a ponytail when she appears as a Landkeeper, and is later let down when she changes her outfit.
After being freed from Mammon's control, Sunny, a former Landkeeper, seeks to find an identity of her own.
History
Sunny is first encountered after completing both Eugene's quest, Acting On Your Best Behaviour, and completing the intermission. She wanders into the Gramophone Café, seemingly disoriented. Eugene initially reacts with hostility, but Kayleigh observes that there is something wrong with her, that she appears "broken." Eugene speculates that Mammon's defeat "fried [the Landkeepers'] brains."
Sunny is given her name when Eugene sarcastically comments that she doesn't exactly have a "sunny disposition," and Kayleigh suggests calling her Sunny. Kayleigh sympathizes with Sunny's loss of purpose and offers to help her make a fresh start, beginning with letting her choose a new outfit. After finding an outfit she likes, Sunny proclaims that she will try her best to be her own person from now on.
Later, if Eugene is not in a romantic relationship with the player after his relationship level 5 event is completed, Sunny and Eugene will go on a date, but Sunny concludes that she needs more time to figure herself out first, which Eugene graciously accepts.
Any time after completing How Does It Feel, Sunny can be found on the upper level of Harbourtown. She will greet the player if spoken to.
After the player has defeated Aleph Null and completed Part 4 of Take Me On, Sunny will appear in Gramophone Café and requests the player's help with tracking down the remaining Landkeepers to find out their plans, which unlocks the quest People are People.
After the player finds and defeats the Landkeeper remnants at Mt. Wirral, Sunny joins the player as a partner.
