Zedd is a Ranger Captain featured in Cassette Beasts. He can be found in the eastern portion of Autumn Hill. In order to fight him for Take Me On you must talk to him and defeat 5 wild Bulletinos to complete the quest Scattershot.
Description
Zedd is a lethargic and perpetually-tired Ranger Captain, expressed in his use of sleep-based strategies in combat. Despite his tiredness, though, he is not a complete slouch.

The player finds Zedd sleeping on Autumn Hill. After waking up, Zedd asks the player to make the surrounding quieter by defeating 5 Bulletinos, beginning the Scattershot quest. The player can challenge Zedd to a battle only after completing the Scattershot quest.

Zedd can be found and battled in the eastern portion of Autumn Hill, sleeping against a rock wall. The player receives stamp #3 and a non-common Meditate, Hibernate, or Sure-Fire sticker for winning

Strategy
Zedd’s laid back nature is shown by his slow, bulky tapes who put themselves to sleep in exchange for buffs. Hibernate restores health over the duration, while Meditate boosts attack and defense. Salamagus uses Sure-Fire to make a sleeping tape’s “filler moves” (120 power but 1% acc) always hit, dealing heavy damage.
Rematch
Zedd’s two leading tapes have been remastered, with Galagor using Magnet to protect its ally from single-target moves. His third tape is now a Djinn Entonic which prioritizes Meditate and is frailer than Galagor, but speedier by far.
Trivia
If the “Randomise Species” custom option is enabled, Zedd will not task you with the “Scattershot” quest.
