His signature monster tape is Pombomb.
Description
Barkley is a good-tempered Pomeranian who is capable of using cassette tapes to transform into monster forms.
History
Barkley was transported to New Wirral along with his owner while they were on a walk.
Barkley can be found in northeast Cherry Meadow, trying to climb the cliffs to north. If the player has the Pumpkin Vine Ball ability, Barkley will join the player as a partner, and his quest Come Back And Stay will begin.

- As Barkley being the only non-human partner in the game, he is the only partner who cannot be romanced.
- Barkley is the only partner that does not use wings with the Mothwing Glide ability in the overworld, and instead glides using a balloon.
- Barkley always starts with an Ice-type bootleg Pombomb tape. This has resulted in the Frosty Bootleg achievement on Steam being the most commonly unlocked Bootleg achievement.
