Trivia
- As Barkley is the only non-human partner in the game, he is the only partner who cannot be romanced.
- Barkley is the only partner that does not use wings with the Mothwing Glide ability in the overworld, and instead glides using a balloon.
- Barkley always starts with an Ice-type bootleg Pombomb tape. This has resulted in the Frosty Bootleg achievement on Steam being the most commonly unlocked Bootleg achievement.
- In customized games with "Randomise Monsters" enabled, Barkley's starting tape will still always be an Ice-type bootleg.
- Barkley's tombstone in Aldgrave Tomb Station lists his birth year as 14140 AD. However, as Eugene is the only partner confirmed to come from a future earth in Cassette Beasts The Art Book,[1] and Barkley's tombstone also lists his year of "death" as "whatever this year is in dog years", it is likely that Barkley's stated birth year is also in dog years.
