Upon entering the Power Station, Penny Dreadful appears, claiming that it is only fair that she involves herself in the investigation due to it being located in her "turf." A Rogue Fusion consisting of two Anathema ambush the player, and Penny Dreadful joins as a guest combatant alongside the player and active partner. Once the Anathema fusion is defeated, Dreadful idles in the station while the player investigates. Leaving the Power Station and coming back causes Penny Dreadful to repeat her previous dialogue and return to the spot she was standing.
Around the Station, a series of notebooks are left behind, which each describe the first-person downfall of the scientists who once operated here. The notes cover their discovery of an Archangel named Helia, their utilization of her immense power, and their folly once the power of her nuclear fusion destroyed the entire facility. Next to each diary is a lever which must be pulled. When all levers have been pulled, Penny Dreadful asks for confirmation from the player if they really want to go ahead with this. By agreeing to flip the last switch, Helia is invoked. Helia introduces herself as the Power of Fusion, and does battle with the three Rangers.
After Helia's defeat, she claims that even though every type of fusion, including that which is performed by the players and Rogue Fusion monsters, falls under her jurisdiction, she is not directly responsible for the outbreaks, likening the player's assumptions as if they had blamed a murder on the concept of Death. Helia reveals the true culprit, however: the cause of all that troubles New Wirral is none other than the Mer-Line itself. The player must then return to Harbourtown Station, where Magikrab will allow the player access into Platform A. Magikrab's body becomes a vessel for the Mer-Line to speak through, where it admits its part in terrorizing New Wirral, but claims that it does so to test and content mankind's warlike nature and force them to become stronger and closer by trial of conflict. The Mer-Line earnestly believes that what it is doing will help future castaways in much the same way it trained the player, and so it exits Magikrab's body unwilling to change its ways.
Upon reporting to Ianthe, she is content with the fact that New Wirral's residents must combat the Rogue Fusions on their own, reminding the player that if they intend to remain on New Wirral as a Ranger, Ianthe will have infinite tasks for them to complete.
