Ritual Candle
Ritual Candle is a consumable item used to guarantee a Bootleg in the next encountered Rogue Fusion.
Ritual Candles can be bought from Ranger Wilma in Town Hall or obtained as a one-time reward from Hoylake for completing 120 entries in the Bestiary.
Usage
Upon using this item, the player is prompted to recycle a tape to influence the bootleg for the next encountered Rogue Fusion. Doing so will complete the ritual and activate its effect, resulting in a 50% chance to be of the same type as the sacrificed tape, and a 50% chance to be of the same species with a random bootleg type. The effect immediately wears off upon initiating an encounter with a Rogue Fusion. This has no effect on non-fusion static encounters.

Guides and Strategies
The Ritual Candle's effect wears off as soon as an encounter with a Rogue Fusion has been triggered, which means fleeing from it will waste its effect. As a result, common ritual candle strategies revolve around disabling autosave, checking Rogue Fusions, and resetting if it's not the desired bootleg. This works because Rogue Fusions encounters, and consequently the influenced bootleg's nature (matching type or species), is seeded upon spawning.

Generally, recycling a tape of the desired type will only be practical if the desired bootleg Monster can spawn naturally in at least one location in New Wirral, whereas recycling a tape of the desired species only has a 1/28 chance (50% to pick the species, then it randomly picks any of the 14 types) to get the desired bootleg, but it allows the player to check Rogue Fusions in locations outside of the species' natural habitat.
