Come Back And Stay is the quest that starts after the player meets Barkley in New Wirral Park and obtains the Pumpkin Vine Ball ability.

The player meets Barkley in northeast Cherry Meadow, where he is trying to climb the cliffs to north.

To obtain Barkley as a partner, the player needs to obtain the Pumpkin Vine Ball ability by recording a Jumpkin in Piper Farm. If the player has obtained the ability, Barkley will join the player as a partner.

Completing Barkley's quest requires ascending the cliffs using the Pumpkin Vine Ball ability and reaching Mt. Wirral. After entering a specific cave, the player and Barkley will fight the Averevoir that killed Barkley's owner.

The player can attempt to record the Averevoir if unfusing with Barkley during the fight. Recording it will grant you the Averevoir Flight ability. Regardless of whether the player recorded it or not, Averevoir will begin appearing on the world map as static encounters, and can be recorded to obtain the ability.
