The Amber Lodge/Dialogue
These are The Amber Lodge's dialogues.
Dead World
- Mysterious Woman: You’re lookin’ pretty lost there, stranger.
- Mysterious Woman: You need a place to stay?
Inside The Amber Lodge
This section is incomplete. Feel free to add the missing information by editing it.
(Upon interacting with the artwork depicting Aleph, Morgante, Mordread and the Amber Lodge)
- Ms. Amber: A simpler time.
(Choice between "Do you know Aleph?" and "Are you friends with Aleph?")
- Ms. Amber: He and I were like family once, back in the good old days.
- Ms. Amber: There was a whole gang of us, and we had some mighty fine times together, let me tell you.
- Ms. Amber: Aleph was like the leader. I mean, of COURSE he was. That's his whole shtick, ain't it?
- Ms. Amber: But me? I was the ride, and Morgante was the keeper of the door.
- Ms. Amber: But sometimes folks just grow apart. Sometimes it gets messy at the end.
- Ms. Amber: So I left all that behind.
- Ms. Amber: I'm sure Aleph's still tryin' to find his ticket off that island, even now.
- Ms. Amber: No way the ol' witch will tell him how, of course.
- Ms. Amber: But I don't want to bore you with this old girl's tales of days gone by.
(The player can only ask "Are you an Archangel?")
- Ms. Amber: Me?
- Ms. Amber: Why, I told you, <player>...
(The other patrons in the lodge flicker for a moment)
- Ms. Amber: I'm just the face of the establishment.
(The camera cuts away to show the Amber Lodge flying through space)
- Ms. Amber: The Amber Lodge is the real attraction.
- Ms. Amber: Not to mention, you'd know all about walkin' around wearing an avatar, wouldn't you?
- Ms. Amber: Don't worry, I won't tell.
- Ms. Amber: Now, I'm guessing you were stranded out on that rock because Aleph warped you away, right?
- Ms. Amber: And before that, you were on New Wirral?
- Ms. Amber: That island is like a fly trap. Folks slip through the cracks and end up there. Mighty unlucky of you, sugar.
- Ms. Amber: But as for the business with our triangle-headed friend?
- Ms. Amber: It ain't your fault you got caught up in our old mess.
- Ms. Amber: So I'll give you a ride, just this once. Follow me.
(Ms. Amber teleports to a mirror on the other side of the lodge)
- Ms. Amber: This mirror will take you where you need to go.
- Ms. Amber: Where THAT is, however, that just ain't up to me.
- Ms. Amber: Step through it when you're ready.
(Upon interacting with the mirror)
- Ms. Amber: Take care, sugar. It was mighty fine meetin' you.
- Ms. Amber: Oh, do me a favour - let's not tell our friend Al about me helpin' you out, shall we?
(The player is warped back to New Wirral)
Dialogue Menu
- Ms. Amber: Hey, sugar. How can I help?
"Who are you?"
- If chosen "Who are you?":
- Ms. Amber: Like I said, I’m Ms. Amber. The face of this fine establishment.
- Ms. Amber: Don’t worry, you ain’t in danger.
- Ms. Amber: You ain’t the first soul to wander in here with that look on your face!
"What is this place?"
- If chosen "What is this place?":
- Ms. Amber: The Amber Lodge, sweetheart.
- Ms. Amber: We tend to not stick around one place for too long. Sometimes folks like yourself need a helping hand, so we’ll hold out an olive branch.
- Ms. Amber: We’ve had some varied clientele over the years, no doubt about that.
"What is going on?"
- If chosen "What is going on?":
- Ms. Amber: Aww, you’re adorable with that lost puppy dog look in your eyes!
- Ms. Amber: Don’t fret, none of this a big deal.
- Ms. Amber: You got your little self stuck on a world that’s been dead for a thousand years.
- Ms. Amber: Why, I simply picked you up.
"Goodbye!"
- If chosen "Goodbye!":
- Ms. Amber: Take care, sugar.
Night's Bridge Station
This section is incomplete. Feel free to add the missing information by editing it.
(After defeating Aleph Null and returning to Night's Bridge Station)
- Ms. Amber: Don't go worryin' about me! The name's Ms. Amber.
- Ms. Amber: <player> and I are friends - isn't that right, sugar?
- Ms. Amber: Why, I'm just here to make sure you fine folks don't go hurtin' yourself.
- Ms. Amber: Though it looks like you gave our mutual friend a mighty beating already. That's a first!
(Choice between "Beating? I think we destroyed him." and "You're talking like he's still alive.")
- Ms. Amber: Folks like Aleph and I ain't flesh and blood, sugar. It takes an idea to die for us not to be able to come back in some form.
- Ms. Amber: He runs on conquest. If you humans keep findin' ways to kill each other, I'm sure he'll reform eventually.
- Ms. Amber: Though he might be out of action for quite some time...
- Kayleigh: You're another Archangel...
- Ms. Amber: Relax, red. I'm a friend.
- Ms. Amber: Besides, you might need some guidance with that doorway home, don't you think?
- Kayleigh: T-This really can take us back to our own worlds?
- Kayleigh: Brilliant! I should let the rangers know before we go!
- Ms. Amber: <player>, you don't have to leave right now.
- Ms. Amber: But when you're ready, come speak to me.
Leaving New Wirral
(Upon talking to Ms. Amber again in Night's Bridge Station)
- Ms. Amber: Are you ready to leave New Wirral, sugar?
(Choice between 'yes' and 'no')
- (If chosen 'yes'):
(Everyone gathers in front of the portal)
- Ms. Amber: With a stable world gate like this, the rules are mighty simple.
- Ms. Amber: Beyond it lies the space between all things. If you don't use it right, you'll end up goin' nowhere.
- Ms. Amber: It ain't about "science", it's about intent. You gotta picture the world you want to go to in your mind's eye and step forward, without any lingering ties holdin' you back here.
- Ms. Amber: So I advise y'all to start saying your goodbyes, because it's a one-way trip.
- Kayleigh: Wh-what?!
- Ms. Amber: Them's the breaks, red.
- Ms. Amber: New Wirral is an anomaly, and nothin' more.
- Ms. Amber: You folks are here by chance - getting back here ain't on the cards.
(The portal opens, and all partner characters except Barkley say their goodbyes and leave)
- Barkley: Arf! Arf!
- Ms. Amber: Oh! I think that one wants to go back with you. Ain't that sweet!
- Ms. Amber: I think it's your turn now, sugar.
- Ms. Amber: Are you ready?
(Choice between "I'm ready!" and "It's time!")
(The player leaves New Wirral)
