Cassette Beasts Showcase is an annual video presentation hosted by Raw Fury, the publisher of Cassette Beasts, in which news and updates about Cassette Beasts are shared. Cassette Beasts Showcase began on June 28, 2023[1].

2023

The first edition of Cassette Beasts Showcase was announced on June 22, 2023[2], and aired on June 28, 2023[1].

It began with a trailer for version 1.2 of Cassette Beasts, revealing there would be 8 new monsters, a hidden location (Marshland Caves) and 10 new moves added to the game by the update. Version 1.2 became available on the same day as the presentation.

Following this was an interview of Jay Baylis and Tom Coxon of Bytten Studio by Sanna Valapuro, a Community Specialist of Raw Fury at the time, in the House of Fury in Stockholm, Sweden. Jay Baylis announced the features and release date of version 1.2. Baylis and Coxon discussed the community reception to Cassette Beasts, with several fan art and videos about the game displayed in the presentation, the team effort involved in the development of Cassette Beasts and the creative process of developing monsters for the game.

An announcement trailer of the multiplayer game mode was revealed, dollowed by Jay Baylis' announcement of the mode being in development and brief explanation of the multiplayer feature.

Physical merchandise of Cassette Beasts were also announced and showed, including a prototype of a Pombomb plushie as well as Cassette Beasts Vinyl.

The developer interview concluded with a short trailer for the Pier of the Unknown DLC, which revealed the DLC's title, the name of Brightside Pier and the silhouette of Gwen.

After the interview ended, a music performance of Wherever We Are Now by composer Joel Baylis and singer Shelby Harvey was featured at the end of the presentation video.

A crossover collaboration between Cassette Beasts and Moonstone Island was revealed with a trailer and an announcement, featuring a Moonstone Island outfit set in Cassette Beasts and Pombomb's appearance in Moonstone Island. The crossover content was announced to be released for both games on the same day the Cassette Beasts multiplayer update.

Also featured in the presentation were the second run of Cassette Beasts Tape and Cassette Beasts Vinyl, which included the 4th edition of the tape and the 2nd pressing of the vinyl, along with Black Screen Records Cassette Beasts T-Shirts and Cassette Beasts Tote Bag.

The presentation video ended with an acoustic performance of Arrow of Time by composer Joel Baylis and singer Shelby Harvey.
