Following the player's first encounter with [[Aleph]] and return from the [[Dead World]], [[Clémence]] informs the player of a strange sighting of a row boat coming onto Habourtown's [[Harbourtown Beach|shore]].<ref name="clemence" /> Investigating the row boat takes the player and their [[partner]] to [[Brightside Pier]], a run-down amusement park run by a clown named [[Gwen]].<ref name="gwen-ringmistress" /> She explains that the park's three [[Infernal Engine]]s have run amok and tasks the player to deactivate them.<ref name="gwen-infernal-engine-request-1" /><ref name="gwen-infernal-engine-request-2" />

{{#spoiler:Going through each of the pier's three attractions; [[The Witch House]], [[Funworld]], and [[Cosmic Zone]], and encountering the Infernal Engines, [[Pearl]], [[Rose]] and [[Raven]], with each residing in the respective attraction, the player discovers that the "engines" are in fact [[Archangel]]s, though Gwen seems to have no clue what "Archangel" means.


After successfully defeating all three Infernal Engines,  talking with Gwen again reveals herself to be the Archangel [[Gwenivar]], having been a part of the Aleph's court before splitting off, and the Infernal Engines were made from humans she lured into her pier so she could have more "friends". When the player tells her to stop experimenting on humans, she reveals her true form and fights the player. After defeating her, she relents in trying to make more Archangels, but asks the player and their partner to visit the pier from time to time. It ends with Gwen reaffirming her love for humans, stating no matter the world, mankind will always create monsters.}}
